How
Ideologically Defined Issues Will Help Influence US
Presidential Election
Last week,
I
did an analysis on the American political spectrum, its
ideological definitions and the issues that programme those

the candidates as they struggle to persuade the American people
to sway in their direction?
Monday,
July 7, 2008 marked
the 10th anniversary of the death of Chief Moshood Kasimawo
Olawale Abiola, winner of the annulled June 12, 1993
presidential election. But unlike June 12 which has been
declared a public holiday only by Lagos State government as
Democracy Day, July 7, the day the politician died in detention,
is rarely celebrated. This year however, Abiola's associates are
organising a memorial to mark his 10th anniversary.

Nigerians are not happy that one year after; he was sworn in as
their president, energy problem seems to have worsened.

Nanka, Umuchiana (Ekwulobia), Oko and other erosion sites.
Thursday,
June 26, 2008 was memorable in the football career of former
Super Eagles captain, Austin Jay-Jay Okocha. It was a
testimonial match organised in his honour by the Delta State
government to mark his retirement from active football. Oghara
Township Stadium was the venue and on hand to 'send him off'
were his colleagues both in the Super Eagles and across Africa.
